I'M TIRED OF THIS PAGE!

If you come to this page more than once, that's not unusual.

Because I still haven't written about all the people and airplanes of the Register.

If you don't have a lot of time to browse, for a sure-fire experience, please click "What's New on the Site" at the bottom of any page. That will get you a list of every active link. You'll see that I've been pretty consistent in adding new information. There's still a lot more to go.

I NEED INFORMATION ON THIS ONE...

You have identified one of the entities from the register for which I have little or no reliable information. I am interested in knowing more. Please, if you have information, use the form below to send what you know to me. Or at least use the form to begin a dialog with me.

I'm especially interested in learning if you know a person, or have photos of people or places or airplanes that are related to the Davis-Monthan Airfield Register. I'd appreciate knowing if you have pilot logs or other airfield registers you might be willing to share with me, or other memorabilia from people, airplanes, places or events you might be willing to provide images for.

You can have every confidence communicating with me. Please see my straight-forward PRIVACY POLICY and CODE OF ETHICS linked below, right. Your email goes directly to your Webmaster's private inbox. I will hold your identity in confidence if you wish. PLEASE check the accuracy of your email address. Asterisked (*) fields are required. Please note the slider arrow at the bottom of this form. Information you are contributing about the referenced entity

WHY THIS PAGE?

Simple, if you recognize one of the Register names; if one might be your aunt or uncle, cousin, grandmother or grandfather, or if you're familiar with one of the aircraft that landed, or you know something about the places or events cited in the Register, I ask you to share that information.

To do this, I solicit and incorporate testimonies from users of the site. I begin our dialog through this form. Likewise, if you have comments on site operations or ergonomics, please let me know through this page.

That way users of the site make the site's data and knowledge bases "open source" and "evergreen". Said another way, YOU contribute to the content, appearance and logical development of the site.

I want to develop this Web site as a research tool and resource for students and investigators of Golden Age aviation history who want more than what's available in textbooks.

That's what this form is about.

WITH WHOM ARE YOU CORRESPONDING?

Your Webmaster and creator of the Web sites of Golden Age Airfield Registers, G.W. Hyatt, performs public speaking, research and writing exclusively under the auspices of his non-profit company, Delta Mike Airfield, Inc. Through contemporary multi-media, he publishes and celebrates the people, aircraft, places and events that were recorded between 1925 and 1942 in the old Registers. Please direct your browser to this table to learn more about his suite of Web sites. All proceeds from book sales (left sidebar), donations (right sidebar) and speaking engagements go to source these Web sites.

Hyatt is an instrument-rated, commercial pilot, A&P and pilot/mechanic for a cherry Mooney M20C. He earned his Airframe & Powerplant certificates in 1996. Attending night classes while working full-time, he graduated summa cum laude with an associate degree in engineering sciences, and a speciality in aviation maintenance. He pampers his Mooney and flies for pleasure. A lot of the flying is on behalf of research for the people, places, airplanes and events covered on his Web sites. He has a hangar and workshop in Southwest Florida.

He retired in 1996 from a midwest consumer products company, where he held positions in management systems, product development, environmental affairs and pharmaceuticals. He earned numerous awards for innovation, teamwork and publication. Before that he was professor of biological sciences at a midwest university.

He acquired copies of the various Registers (table, below) over the past decade. His life has not been the same since he first opened them and viewed their dusty, handwritten pages.

Since 2000, Hyatt has spent a couple of weeks each summer engaged in research activities at the National Air & Space Museum Archives, Washington, DC. Work on behalf of the Registers has taken him coast-to-coast in the U.S. to visit museums, archives, historical societies, personal photograph, artifact and document collections, and, in some cases, with the actual aircraft and people who are signed in the Registers between 1925 and 1942. These on-the-ground visits are supplemented by email correspondences (and some personal visits) with relatives of Register signers.

These are supplemented by contacts by individuals who own some of the vintage airplanes, or have other information about the people, aircraft, places and events that find mention and origin in the Registers. They have led to many constructive international email correspondences with site visitors not only in the U.S. and Canada, but also in many European countries, India, South America, China and Mexico.

The Web site research has led to the publication of numerous articles and books by your Webmaster. The books are listed in the left sidebar. Please direct your browser also to the PUBLICATIONS button at the top of this screen to view a sampling of some of his other writings. In most cases you can download from there PDF copies of the articles.

If you have been touched by my sites, please, you may support them via the PayPal DONATE link in the right sidebar.
